Lauren’s husband approached me to create a bespoke ring for her birthday. The brief was to design an elegant ring for everyday wear with a modern and unique twist. Knowing Lauren's love for birthstones, we chose an emerald-cut amethyst as the centre stone, flanked by two garnets to represent her and their daughter.

I began by handcrafting the setting for the amethyst and carving the rounded ring band from wax, meticulously melting the surface to achieve an organic texture. Once the ring was cast in solid gold, it was polished in the studio and the gemstones were then expertly set, with the garnets flush set along the band on either side of the bezel-set amethyst centre stone.

The response to this ring has been enormous, making it one of the most popular designs at EF Studios. Clients love the classic design with a modern handcrafted aesthetic. Each piece is unique and crafted special in its own way. This bespoke creation beautifully balances elegance and symbolism, making it a cherished piece in any jewellery collection.
