Georgie approached me with her Grandma's heirloom citrine ring, hoping to transform it into a modern and unique piece of bespoke jewellery.

Georgie's brief was chunky, bold, and striking, yet simple and beautiful enough for everyday wear. The oval cut citrine, with its impressive size, was to be the centre stone, set in a chunky bezel setting. The design called for the citrine to be off-centre and angled to follow the organic curved band. This band also featured a deep blue Australian sapphire, a round cut lab-grown diamond, and a baguette cut moss green Australian tourmaline, symbolising her time living in Australia.

I began by handcrafting the bezel setting and the ring from wax, carefully melting the surface to achieve the desired organic texture. The gemstones and diamonds were then expertly set by a skilled diamond setter, and the final ring was polished to perfection in our Melbourne studio.

The result is a stunning, bespoke gold ring that honours the past while celebrating the present, combining the beauty of handcrafted jewellery with the brilliance of ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones.
